Communications & Community Empowerment Officer
Our Communication and Community Empowerment Coordinator at Ifrah Foundation has been with us since mid-2021. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies and a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development.
In his role, he manages the Dear Daughter campaign, oversees communications, and collaborates with other staff to train and educate community stakeholders such as men and boys network, CSOs, and arranges outreach teams through the Dear Daughter campaign ambassadors to empower communities, families, and parents to commit not to cut their daughters. With extensive experience in project management, communication, and project planning within the NGO sector, he has gained valuable participatory development experience working with communities, CSOs, LNGOs, INGOs & donors.
Throughout his career, our Communications and Communications Officers has worked with organisations such as AMARD, SEDHURO, COOPI-Cooperazione Internazionale, INTERSOS alongside donors including UNFPA, UNICEF, WFP, ECHO, and SHF. His consultancy and training assignments have covered a range of fields, including protection (GBV and CP), food & nutrition security, water sanitation hygiene (WASH), lobby & and advocacy. With over 8 years of experience in protection (GBV and child protection), he has contributed to the efforts of various stakeholders such as local communities and CSOs.
